1. Purpose and scope
Who this policy applies to.
This policy applies to every business and user that sends messages through the WhatsApp messaging platform (the "Messaging Platform") operated by EazyWebsite, a brand of StellarCart.
- It forms part of our Terms of Service.
- Following it is a condition of using the Messaging Platform.
- It works alongside Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and WhatsApp Commerce Policy, which also apply to you.
2. Get opt-in before you message
Permission comes first.
- Only message people who have agreed. Message only people who have agreed to receive WhatsApp messages from your business. Having someone's phone number is not consent.
- Be clear when you ask. When you ask people to opt in, clearly state your business name and that they will receive messages from you on WhatsApp. You can collect opt-in:
- online;
- in your shop, for example with a QR code poster;
- in a WhatsApp chat the customer starts.
- Keep a record. Record how and when each person opted in. When you import contacts, you must confirm how they agreed. Contacts without a confirmed opt-in are excluded from marketing campaigns.
- No bought lists. Never use purchased, rented, shared or scraped contact lists.
- Consent belongs to your business. You may not use it to message people on behalf of another business.
3. Respect opt-outs
When someone says stop, stop.
- Make stopping easy. Every marketing message should give people an easy way to stop, such as replying STOP or tapping a "Stop offers" button.
- The platform enforces opt-outs. The Messaging Platform records opt-outs automatically and blocks future marketing messages to that person. Do not re-add or re-import people who have opted out.
- Honour every channel. If someone asks to stop in another way, such as by phone, in person or by email, mark them as opted out in the Messaging Platform.
- WhatsApp's own setting counts too. If a customer turns off marketing messages from your business inside WhatsApp, the Messaging Platform respects that choice.
4. Templates and message types
Use the right kind of message for the purpose.
- Messages you start need an approved template. Outside the 24 hours after a customer's last message, any message you start must use a message template that WhatsApp has approved.
- Choose the right category:
- Marketing: offers, promotions and announcements.
- Utility: updates about an order, booking, account or payment the customer has made.
- Replies within 24 hours are free-form. Within 24 hours of a customer's last message, you can reply freely from the inbox. Keep your replies relevant to the conversation.
5. Content you must not send
Messages that are never allowed.
You must not use the Messaging Platform to send, promote or sell:
- anything illegal in India or in the recipient's country;
- products or services that Meta's WhatsApp Commerce Policy restricts or prohibits, for example drugs, weapons, adult products and services, tobacco, alcohol and real-money gambling;
- fraud, scams, phishing, fake prizes or misleading claims, including false health, financial or "guaranteed income" claims;
- threats, harassment, hate speech or sexually explicit content;
- content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or privacy;
- content impersonating another business, brand, government body or person;
- requests for passwords, OTPs, PINs, card numbers or similar sensitive details.
6. Quality, frequency and timing
Send messages people want to receive.
- Send useful messages. Send messages people expect and find useful. If many recipients block or report your number, WhatsApp lowers your quality rating and may limit or stop your messaging.
- Don't over-message. The Messaging Platform lets you cap how often each customer receives marketing messages. We recommend no more than 2 marketing messages per customer per week.
- Send at reasonable hours. We recommend sending marketing messages between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM in the recipient's local time.
- Expect daily limits at first. New WhatsApp accounts can message only a limited number of customers each day. WhatsApp sets these limits and raises them over time if your message quality stays good.
7. Handling customer data
Your duties as the business that owns the relationship.
- Use customer data only for the purpose the customer agreed to.
- Keep your consent records.
- Delete data you no longer need.
Under the DPDP Act, you are the Data Fiduciary for your customers' data, and we act as your Data Processor. Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service explain our role.
8. Monitoring and enforcement
What happens when the rules are broken.
To protect recipients and the WhatsApp ecosystem, we monitor delivery data, opt-out and block rates, quality ratings and complaints.
If we suspect a breach of this policy, we may:
- review the relevant messages;
- pause campaigns;
- disable templates or automatic replies;
- suspend sending;
- close the account.
We may act without prior notice where needed to stop spam, fraud or harm. Meta may also take action against your account, phone number or templates under its own policies. Repeated or serious breaches lead to termination without refund.
9. Report abuse
How to report unwanted or harmful messages.
If you received an unwanted, abusive or fraudulent message from a business that uses our Messaging Platform, email support@eazywebsite.in with the subject line "Report abuse". Include:
- the sender's WhatsApp number;
- the date of the message;
- a screenshot, if possible.
You can also block and report the sender inside WhatsApp. We review every report and act where we find a breach.
10. Your responsibility
Where accountability sits.
You are responsible for the messages you send, your consent records and your contact data. You agree to cover any claims, penalties or losses that arise from your breach of this policy, as set out in our Terms of Service.
11. Changes and contact
